The 40 m high wooden pylon takes inspiration from Norwegian timber bridges. The structure consist of 5 glulam pieces and has 6 joints. The surfaces exposed to rain are clad with sheet metal and metal louvers to protect the timber from moisture.

The figure is achieved by taking into account all the restrictive parameters set by high voltage power line regulations and optimising for structural performance using Grasshopper Galapagos optimisation and parametric structural engineering tool Karamba.
